SpaceX Wins New ISS Resupply Missions
Hawthorne, California-based SpaceX has won an additional six resupply missions to the International Space Station (ISS), as part of a the NASA Commercial Resupply Services-2 (CRS-2) contract. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. The award to SpaceX also came in addition to orders with Northrop Grumman and Sierra Nevada Corporation, with all three awards worth $14 billion. The new order brings the number of missions contracted to SpaceX to 15 in total; SpaceX previously completed 20 resupply missions to the International Space Station under an earlier contract.
