Mustard Finds $1M For Social Food Shopping App
Los Angeles-based Mustard, which is developing a social, food shopping video app, said on Tuesday that it has raised $1M in a pre-seed funding round. The funding came from Operate Studio, Newfund, Great North Ventures and Fund LA. According to the startup, it is "part social media network and part ordering platform", and allows users to click on dishes they can order after viewing food videos. A spokesperson for the company said the app functions "as if TikTok and food ordering apps had a baby". Mustard is led by CEO Diana Might, and was co-founded by Chief Product Officer David Currant.
