iRise Sues Axure Software Over Patent
El Segundo-based iRise, which develops software simulation and visualization products, said Wednesday that it has sued San Diego-based Axure Software Solutions for patent infringement. According to iRise, Axure's products infringe on a patent it was issued in March, entitled "Systems and Methods for a Programming Environment for a Simulation of a Computer Application." iRise said it was asking the United States District Court for the Central District of California to prevent Axure from making, using, selling, or offering for sale computer software products that infringe on its patent; the company is also seeking undisclosed damages. Axure is a maker of software for rapidly prototyping applications and web sites. The iRise patent is U.S. Patent No. 7,349,837.
