iRise Gets Patent
El Segundo-based iRise, the developer of software visualization tools for the enterprise, said today that it has been awarded a third, U.S. Patent. The firm said the patent is number 7,788,647, and was awarded on August 31st. iRise develops software which can be used by non-technical users to simulate and prototype web applications; the firm's software is used to help define further software development efforts. According to iRise, the latest patent covers real-time collaborative development of interactive visualizations which its software provides. According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, inventors of the patent are Maurice Martin, Stephen Brickley, Leon Amdour, Alex Kravets, Brian Fan, Dominic Infante, Stuart Larking, Paul Aldama, and Brian Russell. The patent was filed on January 22, 2004 by Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP.
