D-Link Ties Into BitTorrent
Fountain Valley-based networking hardware provide D-Link has joined a technology licensing and certification program from Peer-to-Peer content delivery firm BitTorrent, BitTorrent said Monday. BitTorrent said that it has certified D-Link router and network attached storage devices with its software, and that its software development kit has been embedded on a D-Link product, the DNS-323. According to BitTorrent, inclusion of the software allows the D-Link product to act as a media hub for BitTorrent-enabled content. BitTorrent also said it has certified a D-Link wireless router in conjunction with its software. BitTorrent, which is backed by Accel and DCM, develops peer-to-peer software used for content delivery.
