Virgin Galactic Launches 12th Mission, But Hits Pause

Orange County-based Virgin Galactic launched its 12th mission on Saturday, sending one researcher and three space tourists to space. The launch comes as the company is pausing its launches for a couple of years to work on a next generation space vehicle, to replace the current spacecraft, the VSS Unity. The effort appears to be due to a need for a spacecraft which is more easily reusable, plus greater passenger capability.
