V-ENABLE Scores $6M Funding
San Diego-based V-ENABLE has received $6M in a new, venture capital round. V-ENABLE said this morning that the funding round came from SoftBank Capital and Palisades Ventures. V-ENABLE is developing search technology for accessing mobile content and applications via voice and text. The firm's voice search technology is targeted at wireless carriers and mobile application developers. V-ENABLE said that it will use the funds to accelerate development of its platform, and strengthen direct sales and marketing intiatives. As part of the funding, Craig Cooper of SoftBank and Anders Richardson of Palisades have joined the firm's board of directors. More information »
