Two Bit Circus Runs STEAM Carnivals At LA Schools
Los Angeles-based Two Bit Circus Foundation, the nonprofit education arm of LA's Two Bit Circus, is running two of its STEAM Carnival events at Los Angeles area schools. According to Two Bit Circus Foundation, it ran one event over the weekend in Hawthorne at the Prairie Vista Middle School, and will run one in Compton at Dollarhide Community Center on Thursday. Two Bit Circus is known for its events, which combine a carnival atmosphere with science, technology, art, and math concepts, using everything from robots and drones to hands on projects. The Two Bit Circus Foundation said the two carnivals are being sponsored by American Honda Foundation and supporting sponsor SOHO Impact. Two Bit Circus was founded by Brett Bushnell, and launched its educational foundation in March of last year. The company is hoping to roll out its carnivals in the form of "micro-amusement parks".
