SpaceX Puts Another 60 Satellites Into Space
Hawthorne-based SpaceX put yet another 60 satellites for its Starlink system into space on Sunday, using a Falcon 9 first stage which was previously used to launch the Crew Dragon to the International Space Station. SpaceX's launch occurred at 8:25 a.m. EDT from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The company said that Falcon 9, in addition to supporting the Crew Dragon demonstration mission, also was used in launch of the RADARSAT Constellation Mission, and three Starlink missions this year. SpaceX reports that it has recently launched Starlink service at the Administrative Center building and about 20 private homes on the Hoh Tribe Reservation, located in a remote area of western Washington State where internet access is limited or completely unavailable, one of its first regular deployments of its system.
