Rocket Lab Set For Two New Missions For NRO
Long Beach-based Rocket Lab says it will be launching two more space missions from the US National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). According to the company, it plans to deploy satellites fro the NRO this month, with the launch of NROL-162 (“Wise One Looks Ahead”) lauching no earlier than July 12, and NROL-199 (“Antipodean Adventure”) scheduled to launch no earlier than July 22. Rocket Lab said the missions will be a demonstration of responsive launch under NRO’s Rapid Acquisition of a Small Rocket (RASR) contract for launching small satellite through a streamlined, commercial approach.
