Resonant Reports Licensing Deal
Goleta-based RF filter manufacturer Resonant said it has signed its first, licensing deal, with its existing, tier one customer. According to Resonant, the deal calls for its to provide two, RF front end duplexers for that customer, to be placed into mass production as early as the end of the year. Financial details of that licensing deal were not disclosed. Resonant develops surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters, used for filtering out radio signals in use in such devices as smartphones and handsets, however, has yet to see deployment on its technology. The company recently raised $6M to extend its runway.
