Readers: Help Victims of Hurricane Harvey

To our readers following the continuing disaster in Texas due to Hurricane Harvey (now Tropical Storm Harvey), which, according to the National Weather Service, has dropped as much as 50 inches of rain in parts of Texas in the last few days (for comparison, Los Angeles gets an average of 14.93 inches a year.)

To help those affected by Hurricane Harvey across parts of Louisiana and Texas, mobile phone users can text 'HARVEY' to 90999 to donate $10 to the American Red Cross to help prepare for, respond to and help people recover from disasters.
