Hutch Launches App To Remake Your New Space
West Hollywood-based Hutch has launched a new mobile app, designed to help people with a new space immediately get ideas on how to remake them into the exact style they love--and helps to connect those users to shops to help fill that space with the right furniture for that style. The startup's app--available for both iOS and Android--lets users take a picture of their new room, and lets them apply "filters" to that room--"Boho", "Urban Industrial", etc--and see what those spaces might look like with a new interior design. The startup, led by co-founder and CEO Beatrice Fischel-Bock, is backed by $7.14M in seed and Series A funding from Founders Fund, Foundation Capital, FF Angel LLC, Sean Rad (Founder and Chairman at Tinder), and Scooter Braun (Founder at SB Projects). The company evolved from Homee, which had been creating a marketplace for interior designers. Fischel-Bock said the app is targeted at millennials.
