Halogen Ventures, Led By Jesse Draper, Raises $21M In Second Fund
Los Angeles-based Halogen Ventures, the venture capital firm led by Jesse Draper, has raised $21M in its second fund, the firm said on Wednesday. According to Halogen Ventures, the fund will continue to invest in women and diversity. Halogen Ventures was founded in 2015, and so far has invested in over 60 female founded companies, and says it now has ten exits out of its portfolio. Names of limited partners in the new fund were not announced. Halogen's investments including Squad App (acquired by Twitter), ThisisL. (acquired by P*G), and Eloquii (acquired by Walmart). Draper is one of the daughters of Silicon Valley venture capitalist Tim Draper; the Draper family has been prominent in venture capital since Bill Draper III founded Sutter Hill Ventures in 1965.
