Guru Releases Development Kit For Wireless Power
Pasadena-based Guru, a venture backed startup developing wireless power distribution technology, said this morning that it has released a development kit for its technology, which will allow potential partners to trial its millimeter-wave wireless power products. The startup--which is funded by Kairos Ventures and Bold Capital Partners--said its new evaluation and developer kit allows users to test, evaluate, and create proof-of-concept designs using its technology. The company says its technology efficiently powers devices over-the-air at distances of three feet and beyond using proprietary 24GHZ "smart RF lensing" technology it developed. The startup is led by CEO Florian Bohn, and says it was founded by a team of Caltech electrical engineers, applied physicists, and integrated circuit and phased array experts.
