CrowdStrike Extends To AWS
CrowdStrike, the developer of endpoint protection software and cybersecurity tools with a big presence in Orange County, is extending its software to Amazon Web Services, the company said today. According to CrowdStrike, its new Falcon for Amazon Web Services (AWS) is designed to help secure cloud workloads, and is available through Amazon's AWS Marketplace. The company said its software provides a single agent running on a node, which protects all of the containers running on that node. The new software is billed, much like AWS, on usage metering. Pricing on the new service was not announced by CrowdStrike. The new service also supports Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). The announcement was one of several made by CrowdStrike at its annual conference, Fal.Con UNITE, which is being held in San Diego this week.
