Boingo Wins Raleigh-Durham Airport
Boingo Wireless said today that it has added Raleigh-Durham Airport (RDU) to its list of airports where it will manage and operate Wi-Fi services. Boingo said it had been selected by the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority to provide tiered, Wi-Fi services, which include both complimentary Wi-Fi services, as well as a premium Wi-Fi service with higher bandwidth and streaming video support. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Boingo--which has been steadily adding the number of airports and shopping centers it runs Wi-Fi services for--said RDU will offer up 45 minute, free Wi-Fi sessions tied to viewing a brief advertisements. The premium services will be through Boingo's existing, Boingo Unlimited plan, which costs 49.99 a month. Boingo now manages Wi-Fi for over 60 airports.
