AltaSens Debuts New CMOS Chip
Westlake Village-based AltaSens, which develops CMOS image sensors, said today that it has launched a new, CMOS image sensor specifically aimed at the automotive market. According to the company--which is now a subsidiary of JVC KENWOOD--its new, high definition CMOS image sensor delivers wide dynamic range HD video at 1080p30 through 1080p60. The company develops CMOS sensors for use in videoconferencing, telepresence, surveillance, broadcast, cinematography, medical, and industrial markets.
