4.5 Billion Robocalls In January
U.S. consumers saw just over 4.5 billion robocalls in January--pretty much consistent with the ongoing rate of unwanted calls--according to Irvine-based YouMail, which tracks robocall volumes. The company--which offers up call blocking and screening software--said that "robocall volume in the US isn't really changing, despite month- to-month variations, and despite stepped up enforcement efforts", according to a statement from the company's CEO, Alex Quilici. Apparently, the most unwanted robocall involves "Jenny from class action claims" regarding "medical compensation related to Camp Lejeune".
