YouTube TV Expands Into Ten New Markets
YouTube is expanding its subscription YouTube TV service into ten new markets, the company is announcing today. According to YouTube, the service has expanded into Washington, DC, Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne and Charlotte, as well as Dallas-Forth Worth. The expansion into the new markets is the first expansion of YouTube TV since its launch in April, when it launched in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Philadelphia and Chicago. YouTube TV offers up a wide range of content from cable networks, plus local feeds from ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, for $35 per month. YouTube says the new service is targeted at the "YouTube generation", and that over half of its viewership comes from 18- to 34-year old Millennials.
