Yardi Donates $250,000 For Australia Fire Relief, Recovery
Santa Barbara-based real estate software company Yardi is pitching in to help with relief and recovery from the wildfires which have swept over Australia in the last month, and which continue to burn, by donating $250,000 to agencies in Australia, the company said on Sunday. According to Yardi, it made that $250,000 donation split evenly between two agencies in New South Wales and Victoria. The two Australia states are the hardest hit by the fires, which are believed to have killed hundreds of millions of wild animals, and burned more than 16 million acres of land. More than 2,500 homes have been lost and there have been 33 fatalities, according to Yardi. Yardi said the donations were made to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service and the Victorian Country Fire Authority Bushfire Appeal. The fires in Australia are continuing to burn, with its Capital, Canberra, now threatened by ongoing fires.
