Xirrus Signs Conference Center
Westlake Village-based Xirrus, a developer of Wi-Fi networking products, said today that it has signed on the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) as a customer of its products. The ITU is deploying the Xirrus Wi-Fi array products as part of a conference center in Geneva in October. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. Xirrus said its products will be used at the International Conference Centre Geneva. Xirrus is a venture-backed provider of Wi-Fi networking equipment which combines Wi-Fi access points with switching; the firm is currently targeting users with need for large coverage areas, dense user populations, or high-bandwidth needs.
