Xirrus Confirms $20M Funding
Thousand Oaks-based Xirrus confirmed Tuesday that it has raised an additional $20M in funding, bringing the firm's total raised to $80M. The round was led by InterWest Partners. Xirrus said the new funding would bolster its reserves, and would go towards partnerships with large integrators. Xirrus is a developer of Wi-Fi networking hardware, which combines a number of Wi-Fi access points and switching in a single device. The company said it anticipates the funding will be the last round of private funding it will require. Khaled Nasr of InterWest Partners joins the company's board along with the funding. The round was first revealed in a regulatory filing last week. More information »
