Pasadena-based X1 Technologies, a developer of desktop search software, said Tuesday that it has upgraded the firm's flagship software, and also inked a partnership with an email management provider. X1 said that its latest X1 Enterprise Search Suite v6 adds new "content connectors" which allow the software to access enterprise systems like Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, and Symantec Enterprise Vault, as well as enterprise search engines from Autonomy, FAST, Oracle, and IBM, along with other software. Separately, X1 said that it has partnered with Globanet Consulting Services, which provides email message archiving. Globanet will offer X1's enterprise search products as part of its email management offering. Globanet provides email implementation and consulting for Symantec Enterprise Vault for companies such as Credit Suisse, Bear Stearns and Pfizer. X1 Technologies is backed by Idealab.
