WiSpry Names New CEO
Irvine-based WiSpry, which is developing semiconductors for the wireless industry, said today that it has named Russell Garcia as President and CEO. Garcia replaces Jeffrey Hilbert, who will remain on the firm's board and will also serve as Executive Vice President of Development. Garcia has previously served as president and CEO of u-Nav Microelectronics, and as VP of marketing of Silicon Systems/Texas Instruments Storage Products. WiSpry's tunable RF-MEMS products are used for mobile phones, laptops and mobile data communications products. The firm is venture backed by American River Ventures, Blueprint Ventures, Hotung Capital Management, L Capital Partners, Shepherd Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Sid R. Bass Associates and The Tech Coast Angels. More information »
