WD Ups Density On Latest Hard Drive
Lake Forest-based disk drive maker WD said today that it is shipping a new, 750 GB, 2.5-inch notebook hard drive, which it claims features the highest, 2.5-inch areal density in the industry. The firm said its new WD Scorpio Blue 750GB hard drive supports 375 GB-per-platter areal density, and lists for $149.00. The company is targeting the mainstream notebook computer market with the new hard drive.
