Valence Lands $5.25M More For Black Professional Networking
Los Angeles-based Valence, the Black professional networking community, has raised $5.25M more in a Series A funding, the company said on Tuesday. The funding was led by GGV Capital, and also included Upfront Ventures. According to Valence, which is led by CEO Guy Primus, GGV Capital's Hans Tung is joining the company's board of directors with the investment. Valence previously raised a $2.5M funding round back in November from such investors as Upfront Ventures, Sinai Ventures, Human Ventures, High Alpha and angels Paul Judge, Peggy Alford and Willie Alford; Upfront's Kobie Fuller also sits on the company's board of directors.
