Two SoCal Companies Join Climate Startup Program
The Uptake Alliance, a venture development program which focuses on climate technology, says it has selected 15 climate-tech startups for its program--including two based in Southern California. The program said it has included Los Angeles-based Ampaire, a developer of hybrid-electric aircraft technology, and Carlsbad-based Icarus RT, a developer of hybrid photovoltaic/thermal solar cogeneration systems, in the program. Uptake Alliance is running its program in New York City; the company's program is aimed, in part, in attracting companies to relocate or do business in New York State.
