THQ Buys Stuntman From Atari, Buys Development Firm
Agoura Hills-based THQ has purchased Stuntman, a game franchise from Atari, and will buy Paradigm Entertainment, which is developing games for next generation systems for the franchise. Terms were not disclosed, however Atari said that the move was part of a $13M divestiture of non-core assets, which also included its TimeShift properties. THQ said that its acquisition to acquire Paradigm Entertainment is expected to close within the coming weeks, subject to successful due diligence in the game studio.
