The Rogue Initiative Raises Series A Funding
Hollywood-based The Rogue Initiative, a new virtual reality content and production studio, said it has raised a Series A funding round. The company did not say how much was raised, only that it was a "seven figure" amount. The funding came from CBT Capital Limited, a Chinese media fund. According to The Rogue Initiative, the funding will go towards development or original traditional and immersive film and television projects. The company said it has a partnership with Michael Bay, the director of Transformers, to develop original entertainment, and is advised by Matthew Cohan (Bay Films), Cliff Plumer (THE VOID), Cody Simms (Executive Director at Techstars), and Ryan Wang (Outpost Capital). The company is led by co-founder and CEO Pete Blumel. More information »
