Teledyne Acquires Marine Sensor and Engineering Firm
Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies, the diversified provider of scientific instrumentation, digital imaging products, defense electronics, systems, and other products, said this morning that it has acquired marine engineering firm C.D. Limited (CDL), which is headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Teledyne said that CDL is a supplier of subsea inertial navigation systems and motion sensors for a variety of marine applications. Those sensors are used in remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and other systems. Teledyne said CDL's products include gyrocompasses, attitude and heading reference systems, and inertial navigation systems. CDL will be renamed Teledyne CDL Limited.
