TCVN Dangles $25,000 Cash in Survivor Pitch Contest
It looks like the annual TCVN Survivor event is heating up this year, as the group said it will be offering up a new $25,000 cash investment for startups looking to pitch their company in front of an audience. TCVN has been running its Survivor events for a number of years, with the last event being held in 2010. This year's event looks to have slightly changed the format of the event, requiring prospective entrepreneurs to fill out an application to present, and send a quick pitch video to the group to qualify; prior events had allowed anyone in the audience to make a 30 second pitch to the judges. The prior events had awarded products and services to the winners--this looks to be the first year that the group is offering up an actual, cash investment to the winner. The TCVN Survivor event is being held November 15th at Chapman University in Orange.
