SpectraFluidics Gets Investment From In-Q-Tel
Santa Barbara-based SpectraFluidics, a developer of chemical detection systems, announced yesterday that it has received a strategic investment from In-Q-Tel, the venture capital arm of the CIA. Size of the investment was not disclosed. SpectraFluidics develops a vapor trace chemical detection system which monitors airborne molecules to detect such things as explosives. The technology is also being targeted at food and agricultural safety. The company's technology is based on technology which was originally developed at UC Santa Barbara. More information »
