SpaceX Flight Set For Tueday
Hawthorne-based SpaceX, the commercial rocket firm of Elon Musk, is set to launch a demonstration flight on Tuesday. SpaceX is looking to launch its Dragon space capsule -- its privately developed unmanned cargo delivery capsule for the International Space Station -- from Cape Canaveral sometime tomorrow, a demonstration flight which will bring SpaceX closer to its goal of fulfilling a $1.6 billion resupply contract with NASA for the ISS. The Dragon is set to launch on SpaceX's Falcon 9, and is expected to land and be recovered in the Pacific Ocean. SpaceX test fired its rocket on Saturday in a runup to the Tuesday launch.
