Soraa Gets Install In Tokyo Museum
Soraa, the UC Santa Barbara spinout which develops LED lighting technology, says it has installed its lamps at the Idemitsu Museum of Arts in Tokyo, Japan. Soraa said it was specifically selected to replace "dated" halogen lamps. Financial impact of the win was not announced. Soraa said it has developed LED lighting technology to offer "optimal" rendition of colors and shades of white. The company has had a string of wins at museum locations, including the Nicolas Sursock Museum in Beirut, Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, and Detroit Institute of Arts. Soraa now has its headquarters in Fremont, but still has an office in Goleta.
