Sonos Drops Support For iOS 4, 5
Whole home music system developer Sonos is dropping support for Apple's iOS 4 and 5, the company told its users Tuesday, meaning that the company's systems will no longer work with first generation iPad, iPhone 3G, and second and third generations of the iPod Touch. According to Sonos, the move comes as it looks to "balance our need to innovate with our desire to maintain support for older devices". Sonos said it now will only support iOS devices running iOS6 or higher. Apple's iOS 4 was introduced in 2010; iOS 5 was launched in 2011. Sonos is based in Santa Barbara.
