Singlera Genomics Raises $20M
La Jolla-based Singlera Genomics, a developer of non-invasive genetic testing technology, has raised $20M in a Series A funding, according to the company. The funding was led by Lilly Asia Ventures, and also included Green Pine Capital Partners, CDBI Partners, and others. Singlera, which has operations in both La Jolla and Shanghai, develops single cell sequencing, DNA methylation and bioinformatics technology targeted at tumor diagnosis and personalized treatment, non-invasive prenatal diagnosis and other applications. The copany said it will use the new funding to expand R&D, and to expedite the launch of new product lines. The company's founders are Professor Yuan Gao (Johns Hopkins University), Professor Kun Zhang (University of California at San Diego), Jiangli Zhang (CEO), Qiang Liu (COO), and Dr. Rui Liu (CTO).
