Scopely Debuts Developer Program

Los Angeles-based social game developer Scopely announced today that it has launched a new, developer program called LeveUp, which looks to help top independent game studios co-develop titles with Scopely. The firm said it will tape a small group of partners to help develop, design, distribute, scale, and monetize their mobile games. Scopely, which was founded by Eytan Elbaz, Walter Driver, and Ankur Bulsara, said it will provide all the server-side infrastructure for multiplayer mobile games, and also help with helping to place premium advertising brands into those games. The firm raised $8.5M in a funding in September. The company's most popular title is Bubble Galaxy With Buddies, which debuted in October. Elbaz was co-founder of Applied Semantics, which was acquired by Google to become Google AdSense.
