RoyaltyShare Launches Digital Asset Management Offering
San Diego-based RoyaltyShare, which provides digital royalty tracking to independent music labels, said Monday that it has expanded its offerings to digital asset management. The firm, which is venture backed by Trident Capital, Bertelsmann Digital Media, and William Morris Agency, said that it will offer a low-cost service aimed at independent record labels through the service, which it is billing Digital Asset Storage and Management. The new service will allow those labels to organize, store, and manage their digital music files, images, and metadata. The web-based offering allows labels to manage their tracks and other assets, upload and validate metadata, and deliver those to digital retailers for ten cents per track per month.
