Report: Google Offered To Pay $30 Billion For Snap Last Year
A report on Thursday said that Google offered to buy Venice, California-based Snap, the parent company of Snapchat, in a deal worth $30 billion. The report, from the Business Insider, cited "three people" including people "inside and close to the company" for the information. It's unclear if the information is leaking because Snap is looking for an acquirer--as is often the case with rumors---or if details on the talks are just making it outside now.
