Qualcomm Rejects Nokia Offer
San Diego-based Qualcomm, which is embroiled in a number of lawsuits with Nokia over patents, said Thursday that it has rejected a $20M offer from Nokia over patent royalties. The two are locked in a legal battle over Nokia's contract to use Qualcomm patents, which expired Monday. Qualcomm claimed that Nokia's attempted payment is a fraction of a royalty the two agreed upon in 2001. The two are continuing cross licensing negotations.
