Powerwave Buys Wireless Infrastructure Business
Santa Ana-based Powerwave Technologies, a provider of wireless antennas, boosters, and other components for the wireless market, has purchased Filtronic plc's Wireless Infrastructure Division in a deal worth 20.7M shares of stock and $150M in cash, worth approximately $336M total. Powerwave said yesterday that it would buy Filtronic's business in transmit/receive filters, integrated remote radio heads and power amplifier products, used for commercial wireless infrastructure.
