Paramount Links With Twitter On Movie Promotion

Paramount Pictures said this morning that it is launching a movie promotion for the film SUPER 8, in a partnership with Twitter. According to Paramount, the deal will offer up exclusive trailer premiers on the site on its account, @Super8Movie. SUPER 8's writer/director is J.J. Abrams, and the movie is being produced by Steven Spielberg. Paramount did not say what the business deal between it and Twitter is, and it's unclear how the effort is any different than the typical Twitter promotion. Paramount said the deal is the "first" for the studio and for Twitter.
