Ortiva Wireless Raises $15M
La Jolla-based Ortiva Wireless, a developer of mobile content technology, said today that it has raised $15M in a Series B round. The round was led by Comcast Interactive Capital, and also included prior investors Artiman Ventures, Mission Ventures, and Avalon Ventures. Ortiva said the funding will go towards meeting demand for its products and services. Ortiva develops technology for adapting video and audio streams to mobile phone capabilities and network conditions. The firm's products are licensed to mobile operators. Louis A. Toth of Comcast is joining the firm's board of directors in conjunction with the funding. More information »
