OGPlanet Partners With ClickandBuy
El Segundo-based OGPlanet, an operator of multiplayer online games, said today that it has partnered with Internet payment provider ClickandBuy. OGPlanet said that it will offer its players an option to pay via the payment provider. OGPlanet has a number of free, massively multiplayer online games; the firm allows users to purchase in-game items and accessories. According to a maintenance notice posted on OGPlanet's web site, it removed Paypal as a payment option for its games on Wednesday. OGPlanet previously received investments from former RealNetworks exec Richard Wolpert, Mark Surfas of GameSpy, former RealArcade vice president Andrew Wright, and BellRock Media CEO Peter Levin. Update: According to Mark Surfas, he, Peter Levin, and Richard Wolpert are no longer active investors in the company as of Q4 of last year.
