Ocean Aero Gets Investment From Teledyne For Ocean Robots
San Diego-based Ocean Aero, a developer of unmanned, autonomous marine vehicles, has scored funding from Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne, the companies said this morning. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. According to Teledyne, the investment also included a strategic partnership deal. Ocean Aero is designing the Submaran, an autonomous vehicle which can operate both on the surface and below the surface of the ocean. Those unmanned robotic vehicles--powered by wind and solar--are being aimed at the scientific, defense, and oil and gas communities. More information »
