Oakley, Intel Link On Voice Activated Eyewear
Sunglasses brand Oakley--owned by Luxottica Group--and Intel said that the two have partnered to launch a new "smart eyewear" system, called the Radar Pace, which will offer real-time, voice activated coaching for athletes. According to the two, the new device will provide personalized training programs, performance tracking, and coaching in real time. The new "smart glasses" cost $449. The voice interface is based on Intel's Real Speech technology, and also includes a Bluetooth audio headset for taking phone calls and listening to music. Luxottica Group is based in Irvine.
