NOZA Acquired By Blackbaud

Santa Barbara-based NOZA, a developer of a searchable database of philanthropic data, has been acquired by Blackbaud, a South Carolina based provider of software to nonprofits. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Blackbaud said that NOZA develops semantic search products which pulls detailed, charitable donation information from publicly available, Internet locations. NOZA's data is used for constituent screening, creating donor mailing lists, and finding grants for nonprofits. NOZA becomes part of Blackbaud's Target Analytics arm. NOZA was founded and headed by Craig Harris. According to Blackbaud, NOZA generated just over $1M in revenue, and was approximately breakeven; NOZA's senior executive team apparently is heading to a new company, HG Data, focused on products in the for-profit area.
