Napster, Ericsson Partner
Los Angeles-based online music service Napster said that it has entered into a global partnership with telecom equipment manufacturer Ericsson. Ericsson will include a fully integrated version of Napster's popular music service as part of the Ericsson personalized music service. The companies said that service will go live in Europe over the next 12 months. The new service will provide wireless and PC downloading of digital music through both subscription and a la carte music models. The companies said that the Napster brand will be combined with Ericsson's operator relationships, wireless development, and infrastructure.
