MySocialCloud: Avoid Hacks, Use Our Random Password Generator

Are you one of the folks who spent this afternoon changing your LinkedIn password, after a password leak at the popular business social networking site? If so, Los Angeles-based MySocialCloud has a feature for you: an automatic, random password generator. MySocialCloud said it has had a feature which allows users to create extremely secure passwords for the passwords stored at the site, to help prevent issues like the one which occurred at LinkedIn. Hackers apparently have been applying software techniques to decode the passwords gleaned from LinkedIn, which would not only allow them access to accounts on the service, but potentially lead them to the logins for users using other websites. MySocialCloud, which is headed by Scott Ferreira, and backed by Richard Branson and Jerry Murdock, operates a site which helps users find interesting Internet content, store their login and password information, and automatically log users into those websites. LinkedIn said Wednesday afternoon that about 6.5 million passwords were compromised on the service.
